iGoogle being turned off Nov 2013

Post by FlyingPenguin »

I really like iGoogle as a home page, and many of my clients use it. However Google for some deranged reason is shutting it down. Doesn't make much sense to me because why WOULDN'T you want people to use you as their home page?

Anyway, someone has come up with a replacement that works exactly like iGoogle, with all the re-arrangeable gadgets:

And go figure that I didn't even know about it until about a couple months ago.

Ya, I was quite disappointed too. It was nice to have a greatly customizable page with all the stuff I want to know right there. It almost seems to me that Google is trying to commit suicide.
When all else fails, replace the user.
