Anyone heard of this software?

Been trying to find answers to some wireless troubles I am having and ran across this software. It was recommended on the dell forum. Here's some more info.

Never heard of it. May help BUT if your network card doesn't work properly right, I'd recommend buying a new card.

No Wifi Nic made in the last 5 years should need to be "tweaked" to work right.

Any suggestions on which one to buy ?

I just ran a speed test:

hard wired = Last Result:
Download Speed: 4809 kbps (601.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 361 kbps (45.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

wireless = varies greatly. Download Speed: 689 kbps , then 1249 kbps, then 1352 kbps, 985 kbps.

Just checked it again after updating the firmware on my router

Download Speed: 207 kbps (25.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 361 kbps (45.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Sounds like you're getting a lot of packet loss.

Have you tried changing the channel on the router. Doubt it will help since you say you've had this problem somewhere else, but sometimes channels get crowded. Most routers use channel 11 by default and if you have 6 or more neighbors all using the same cahnnel you'll have problems.
