Very very slow FTP upload Speed - help

Post by Augix »

yes the ftp upload speeds are like 4-5kb/s or less however when I run a speed test I get like my upload speed rate is 359.7KBytes that will never bring a 4-5kb/s upload speed. Im in verizon dsl, called 4 or 5 times not results, browsing it seems ok and download speed are great, any ideas?

some other points:

- I used a couple of different servers
- I did reset the modem
- I do not have any firewall program installed or antivirus

if you mean uploading to a remote FTP server, what client do you use? i use leechftp and smartftp.

if you are uploading 1 large file i am not so sure, but broken down into smaller files you can enable multiple threads.

your client may be setting a cap for each thread and if it is 1 large file, 1 thread if you see what i mean.
