The upgrade is designed to move us toward the delivery of the "connected home" - in which electronic devices and broadband services seamlessly work together to meet your lifestyle needs.
During this upgrade, you may be temporarily unable to reconnect to the Internet if you lose your connection. To prevent loss of connection, we advise taking the following precautions during the 12-hour maintenance window:
- Do not reboot your computer
- Do not unplug or restart your cable modem
- Do not disconnect or restart any home networking equipment
Please note that this guidance only pertains to modems, routers, gateways, and to your computer. We are not expecting any other changes with regard to the way you use your Internet service. If there is severe weather in your area, we ask that you follow normal precautions and turn off and unplug your equipment.
