dsl question

I have dsl at home. I was wondering if I can unhook the modem and over to my friends place? Will I be able to connect at his house with my username and password? Does my ISP need to enhance the line first or should I just be able to connect like dial up?

nope, you will not be able to take the modem to his place and use his line. They have the line set with DSL, so only places with DSL can use it, sorry
