need recommendations...

I've now got 3 computers in my home, all of which I am now hooking up to DSL. My question is this, wireless or wired? I play DAoC ALOT and the connection is important. Will i see any loss in signal using wireless over wired? Two computers are set up in the same room, one is all the way in the back. Seems it may be cheaper to go wireless and get teh add on card for the one in the back vs buy the wired system and running all the cable? However, I can't sacrifice the connection, my daughter is the one in the back and she is starting to play the game with me, and I don't want her to have linkdead issues while playing. Any suggestions here?

As far as setting up my network with them, I don't see one advantage over the other. So I guess that doesn't really factor in?

Wireless is more than fast enough for gaming and internet (it's 2Mbit which is as fast as most cable internet conenctions go). If you intend to use your network for transferring large files between your computers, though, you will prefer hardwire.

Be aware of some possible issues: interference (other access points and wireless phones), range (the access point shoudl be in the center of you house for best coverage, and as high in the air as possible - top of a bookcase is ideal).

You want a router/access point and since the DSL modem is probably already at one computer, that computer can be connected hardwire to the router. Then you need 2 wireless NICS. I would recommend USB WiFi NICS over PCI. USB allows you to place the unit high up where it'll get a better signal than a PCI with the metal case blocking some of the signal.
