I have a new PC and have been thinking about modding it for a while and I would like some feedback on my mod's configuration or some helpful advice.

Here are the parts I'm using:

2x Enermax 80mm Ultra Cool Thermal Control Fan $10.99 $21.98
2x Chrome Dragon 80mm Fan Cover $4.95 $9.90
1x Window Kit Rectangle Clear $9.85 $9.85
1x Fire Dragon Applique $8.95 $8.95
1x Red Cold Cathode Light Kit $14.95 $14.95
1x PowerUp 350 Watt ATX Power Supply (OEM) $25.95 $25.95

Total: $91.58

This is the layout I'm going to use:

I'll place the cold cathode light on the botton of my case and replace my current PSU with the new one. I would love to here your feedback!

First of all, welcome to PCA. :D

Second, your idea sure seems like it'll work to me. Do you have any materiels to be able to cut your case? A dremel works great, but involves a tiny learning curve (just get some metal to practice on first).

Other than that, that plan looks like it'll work nicely.

Good luck! :D

Welcome to PCA :)

As for cathodes, you might check these out. They are a bit cheaper and are easier to place being they go on a fan. And one brightens the whole case easily. Read the review and you'll see. ;)

As far as that powerup psu, I'd consider something like an antec smartpower 350w instead. Just a lot better quality.

As far as those fan controllers, you might consider something like this. It allows you to turn things off, like lights.

Some red LED fans might look cool with your dragon covers.
