If the inside is like the case i just reviewed on the main page then its a damn nice case. I really like the looks of those cases and if its aluminumthey are really light but yet sturdy.

I was thinking about that case myself, but for now I am hooked on the black dragons.

I would go for the lights. But how does one install DVD/CDr drives that look right in that case?
My reason for staying with the dragon for now, drives are hidden behind a door!

Is there an easy way to mount the bay covers to the front of the drives so you keep the look and shape of a case? And still be able to open the drive :) I've got som eideas, but there not real easy.

One of the cases I was thinking about myself has an angle on the front sides. Just would not look good with a flat drive mounted with out the cover.

That's a nice case, go for the lights.

I see that case @ Fry's when ever I go, and there is a display one all open. Well personally I think that case is crap. Very poorly made and it feels like it will fall apart. Just what I think, I would avoid it and get something better.

Yep geuss it helps. Thanks

I was thinking about the same thing somewhat, but how to get to the eject button was what I wasn't to sure about. Didn't seem to show that much either in the pics. Looks like thick double sided foam tape
pads to "glue" on the drive cover. I geuss that would make it flexable so you could press it in on the corner to press the button. Not sure if that's what he did exactly.

Didn't see part one though.

Since drives are cheap now, I'll try a couple. One of the things I was always a bit worried about was wrecking the tray drive! I have a sony now that sticks sometimes when you try to close it and had a memorex once that would close all but the last 1/4" then you had to press it shut. Luckily it stopped working compleatly so I rma'd it for a new one.

So I have been a little leary about adding extra weight to the end of a drive tray like that. Those two drives had the stock tray and know extra weight and they broke!

Course now you get a Lite-on 52x 24x 52x for $50 or $60, so I ain't as worried about it as I was with those 8X 2X24X or so drives for $150!!

Thanks for the link, I'll be back to modding that huge tower again soon, I started about Thanksgiving and never had time to work on since. Just got new cables and other stuff two days ago, now if I could just get time to actually get it out and work on it!
