Crazy PC sent me a Etched Biohazard Window kit along with a green super bright led kit to do a review on... Well i just finally got the mod all done tonight. The case is a Aopen Hx45a. I painted this case about 6 months ago and its been sitting at my work ever since. I have a giant chieftec here and didn't really need it. Originally where the window is now was 2 x 120mm holes... Was a pretty crappy job and my first mod on the case. That is why the window is so close to the side of the panel. I had to cover up all of the holes the fans left so that put me right up against the edge of the side panel. since then i've cut out a 92mm blow hole in the rear. I cut out the 80mm hole in the front. Holes in the case were small and restricting so i freed things up. So i figured i'd do the window kit review on it and all i gotta say is wow! It turned out really good for my first window mod. And the Green Led looks cool as hell.

Hey, is that Duplicolor Cobalt Blue ? I painted up a case with that same color, and it came out pretty good too.

Its just a metallic blue rustoleum. The paint was flat and had no gloss so i grabbed a can of clear coat and put 2 layers of that on there... Turned out really well i thought. The heatsink that is on there is one i'm doing for a review. Its a new company to the US called Arctic Cooling. Its a silent HSF not a good overclocker at all. CPU is a 1600+ at default. I can't get it to run at 1.9 or 1.83 gig... Still gonna play with it and see how high i can get it up to. at 1.83 before i locked up i hit 165F with it loaded though. Epox 8K3A+ board so those temps are from the chip and not the socketer thermistor. I haven't used this case since feb when i got my chieftec. And i forgot how small it was. I seriously had to cram all the cables away to make it look neat. I also took some black loom and spruced up the SPU a bit on it.

I put 5 layers of duplicolor clear coat, then polished it with Turtle Wax. It came out pretty good. If I can get my digital camera back from my bro, I will take pictures.

I thought about polishing this one but this rustoleum paint even after sitting for 6 months is pretty soft... Next time i paint a case i'm going down to the local auto body shop and just gonna get a pint of touch up paint and some hardener. Won't have to worry about it being to soft then :)

You can use duplicolor Automotive from WalMart. It's what I used. It get pretty hard afer about two days, and the clear coat is pretty good as well. It might be cheaper too, and it's mostly automotive colors, Ford Blue, Corvette Blue, etc....etc..
