I'm new with this laptop stuff...
I was wondering--DO you need to purchase additional battery charger for your laptop battery? DO they charge itselves when you plug it (laptop power turned off)and leave it?
That's it.
Thanks in advance.

Well my old laptop charged the battery when it was off but I don't know about nowadays.

You don't need a separate charger.

As long as you have the charger plugged in, whether the laptop is on or off the battery charges (it'll charge faster if the laptop is off).

A few reminders on laptop batteries.
1. When you first get your new lappy you should fully charge the battery and drain it several times, typically this is in the manual, what this does is train the battery it's limits, essentially.
2. It is a good idea once a laptop battery is fully charged to remove the AC power source as most lappys still have a trickle feeding through which is much harder on your battery than the typical draining of the battery.
3. When in a moist or humid environment it is a good idea to remove your battery and clean it occasionally, checking for oxidation spots.
Hope this will help you.

Kinda depends on your usage but I would say probably not necessary.

i havent heard of any. Those dell Geforce Go powered lappies look real sweet tho. I hear they're supposed to outperform the ATI's too.
