Gaming on a PC from 1983! (Commodore C64)

Memories...

Socketed chips. Thinking back to my old Commodore PET. You had to open it every month and press the chips back into their sockets because they would creep out due to temperature expansion and contraction.

I am amazed that old 5 1/4" floppy was still readable.

I'm certain he could fix the audio problem. If it is the chip, those chips are socketed and easily replaced.I bet you there are some of those PIO chips out there somewhere. They were using a lot of machines at the time.

It might also be he needs a different din cable. I vaguely remember it wasn't a standard pinout.
