Can you network share a scanner?

It depends on the scanner. Some do, some don't. If it IS capable of being shared on a netowrk, it will tell you on the box somewhere.
On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

It depends on the included software (-> depends on the Scanner ;) ) ... my old UMAX Astra 600S had the VistaScan software and during setup you could select some sort of network client for scanning.

Just an idea, but: Why would you want to network a scanner? I mean, if it is flatbed...you would have to be able to change the pages by walking across the room or office or whatever, so what would be the point? Just curious. We don't network our scanners at work, but I am sure that through Windows File and Printer sharing, you could share your scanner just as any other file? Who knows?
