2006 Compaq Presario laptop's battery still holds a charge for 2 hours

Talk about "they don't make them how they used to". This was a friend's laptop that she replaced 6 years ago, and I cleaned up and put on the shelf a few years ago and forgot about.
I just fired it up, and the battery is still good. Battery icon estimates 2h 30m on a full charge, and it nearly gets that on idle. Absolutely amazing.
Another friend of mine wants it for a project.
