Now you need some VR goggles to run the camera and start flying POV!

Walls are up. After inspection, the roof starts going up next week.

Tried to do a "Blast off" launch video with the camera facing down. Forgot I left it on 720p - I'll put it back on 1080p next time.

I also edited this down a bit to avoid the long parts where I was re-aligning the drone for passes.

Can't see private video. Needs to be "unlisted" for us to see, no?

This is a 360 panorama of the countryside from over the old house that we're in now. This part of Florida is actually quite hilly (for Florida) and we're actually at the top of a 250 ft hill. I put the camera back on 1080p.

This video is from 2 weeks ago. Trusses installed and partial roof sheeting. I haven't had a chance to take any more videos since then, but the sheeting is done and the roof has been papered. They started the plumbing work today. Walk thru with the electrician Wednesday which will be fun since I want commercial style phone and network installation, and right now there's 24 network jacks marked on the plan (all CAT 6). This is the house I'm gonna grow old and die in so I want it all done right.

This is a time lapse video I created. I've been standing in the same spot every day they do exterior work and taking a picture with my phone using a couple of landmarks to line up the shot as closely as possible each time. Starts with the bare foundation up until the roof sheeting is put on.

Shingles got installed last week. Instead of editing out the slow parts I sped up the video through them, that's why the drone seems to be hauling ass sometimes.

After fruitlessly looking for a sun shade for my Nexus 7 tablet that would fit properly, not be too heavy, and not cost a fortune... I just made one out of black construction paper.

Thank goodness for elementary school art class... :)

So I finally found a chart that shows the differences between the Standard and Professional models. In addition to the 4K camera, the Pro has a 3.1 mile range while my standard has a .3 mile range. More than adequate for what I'm using it for since I like to fly it like an R/C plane and keep it in sight.

I'll have to look into the "Sense & Avoid" feature of the Phantom 4. That sounds cool.
