Couple of cool controllers for video editting & 3D work

Post by FlyingPenguin »

I'm tempted to get the ShuttleXpress. I used to use a Griffin Powermate as a jog wheel in my video editor back in XP days, but they never properly supported it in Win7 and beyond and discontinued it.

I don't do a LOT of video editing, but I do enough that this would be nice.

The SpaceNavigator is even wilder with 6 degrees of motion, and is designed for 3D modeling work, although I have read about people using it for editing as well. I'm thinking it might even be a pretty cool controller for some games like Elite Dangerous:

I sold tons of those shuttle controllers, but the bigger model with a wrist rest section. For long editing sessions it's nice, but when I am just banging something out I wouldnt bother with it.
