For $149!!!! I don't think so. How fast does a mouse need to me anyway? I can't remember the last time i had a slow mouse but probably back when they still had the ball inside. Even the cheap laptop mice seem good enough IMO.

Well if you're a serioys gamer, you'll appreciate a high end mouse. But thst said, I use a hardwired gamimg mouse that costs $70 - although you can easily spend more. Cheap mice don't hold up for gaming.

My mouse will do 3000 dpi but I have it set for 800. Too high a dpi can be problematic in some games . However, high dpi is wonderful apps like Photoshop where you're trying to do detail drawing.

How can it be faster then wired? Compared to other slower wired sure, but why didn't they compare it to their own bran wired mice? I have no clue who the other 2 brands are and could be cheap china crap.

I've tried a LOT of high-end wireless mice, and there always seems to be some lag. Serious gamers don't use wireless. ESPECIALLY for FPS games.

And as I said, the refresh rate and dpi claims are rather bogus. There was a time when we used PS/2 mice and the refresh rate was appalling by today's standards, but now all mice have decent refresh rates - even cheap OEM mice. And and 1000 dpi is more than enough resolution unless you're doing Photoshop or CAD work in obscenely high resolutions.

I only use wireless at work. My G502 can go up to 12,000 DPI which is overkill. I run it well under. It does have a button just in front of the thumb that you can set for targeting. It's nice to use if your sniping or need really fine movement.

Okay, yes, there was one game where I did do a LOT of sniping (can't remember now) and it's about the only time I ever used the ability to switch the dpi on my mouse on the fly.

It is rare to find games that will allow you to use higher DPI settings. Usually the lowest in-game sensitivity will be way to high. I have some games where I have to drop my polling rate, from 1000 to 200 and use a DPI range from 200-1000.

I do find in some games it's handy to switch your DPI on the fly. I find either the shorter barrel of an SMG is too sensitive, or the longer barrel of an assault rifle is to slow to move.

I hate the way the marketers compare a $60 mouse to a $150 mouse. The polling rate of 1000 milliseconds is impressive for a wireless connection, but it's the same as most modern wired gaming mice. Including the ones they reviewed. The fastest human reaction time is 100 milliseconds (about the time it takes to blink) so a few milliseconds makes no detectable difference. There speed improvement probably comes from a faster optical sensor, which shouldn't be impacted by the polling rate, which is the same as the other mice.
