Surface Pro 3

Post by FlyingPenguin »

Set up a Surface Pro 3 for a client & friend who is a doctor. She bought the Core i7 version which is a little overkill. She could have saved some money and gotten the Core i5 version instead.

Really nice piece piece of hardware. Fit and finish is nearly Apple quality. It's no heavier or thicker than my old Gen 1 Surface RT which is amazing.

If I didn't have a perfectly good (albeit 4 year old) laptop already, I'd consider buying one of these as a replacement.

Sams Club has a good deal on the Core i5 version bundled with the good keyboard (normally $140 extra) and a free year of Office 365 for around $1K. Sams also has a generous 90 day return policy.

My wife expressed an interest in it. She likes to use a laptop in bed (she has a lap table) and she thinks the Surface Pro would be better than a standard laptop for that. May get it for her birthday.
