Anybody used a photo snapshot scanner?

Post by wvjohn »

I know they used to make dedicated ones - kodak had one but they are low res. I have a bunch of old family photographs that I want to scan - I have a scanner in my HP all in one, but looking for something where I could feed them through and not screw around with image size and placement.

I've never used a dedicated photo scanner. Although this isn't what you're looking for, I recently purchased this flatbed: Canon CanoScan 9000F MKII Color Image Scanner

I needed something that could scan photos, negatives, and had Windows 8.1 support. It's very good. The software is okay but not great. You have to play with the settings to get the pictures the way you want them. It will allow you to scan without photo editing software which is nice. Overall I like it.
