dual camera (front/rear) that does dual pic/vid recording at the same time and lets you embed into one shot/vid
supports 100Mbps down/50Mbps up via wifi or whatever 4G LTE will offer
bluetooth 4.0

tons of new sensors...barometer, IR sensors for gestures, external temp, etc

I'm up for a phone upgrade next month and was going to get the S3 until I read about this one and it should also be released next month too.
I think its only drawback might be the even larger screen size.

That's going to cost a metric ton!

yeah, i'll get one to replace my S2 as soon as i can. i don't mind the larger screen, but 5" is definitely at the limits. it'll be too big to put in some dress pants comfortably.

I was thinking of getting an S3 after my contract expires this month, but everyone I've talked to around here who went from an EVO 4G (my current phone) to an S3 on Sprint, has been complaining of dramatically poorer reception. I did a little research and it turns out that all Samsung phones have a very weak 3G radio (and in this rural area all we have is 3G except for one 4G tower on main street, conveniently next to the Sprint store).
So I may stick with my Evo, or look up reviews for some other phones they're offering.
I want to stick with Sprint for the unlimited bandwith.

i'm on AT&T and will stay on that due to having a grandfathered unlimited data plan. not only unlimited data, but unlimited international data too.

i travel abroad at least once a year, so it is definitely a perk to stay on them. if i had to switch, Verizon would be my next choice, again, due to international service coverage.

Although there are reception complaints found via search on the S3, there are 2 guys at work with them and both have no issues. I know that one guy has Sprint, not sure on the other.

Yeah but are they on 3G or 4G? The phone works fine on 4G. The reception issues are with 3G and that's all we've got here in the boonies.
Everyone around here who went from the EVO to the S3 says they hate to reception.

Yeah but are they on 3G or 4G?
I'll ask......Tuesday.
I do think Samsung made improvements since last August from what I saw online.

I'll read up, and re-ask some of the people who are using them, but it seems to be a weakness in the design of the CDMA 3G chip they use in all their phones.
Doesn't affect people in big cities or people who don't have Sprint.
