They mentioned this on the Security Now podcast. However keep in mind that the Win NT/2K/XP LanMan password hash is extremely weak and easy to crack.

The newer WinVista/Win7 password hash is stronger, but still pretty weak by modern standards and this machine can crack those in 6 days or so.

SHA-1 hashes are also considered very weak now and this thing cuts through them like a knife through butter.

Modern hashes are not so easy. ANYTHING can be cracked eventually, given time, but if it takes 100 years to crack with the fastest hardware, then it's effectively uncrackable for practical purposes.
