Hi all!
Can anyone recomend a a half decient set of headphones?
Might be after too much but just simply want a set that's blue tooth with a mic and no ear bud stuff. The bigger the better like old skool but modern.
I have a bluetooth send/reciever so all good there. Ya I suckup the cord on my faithfull logitechs with the vacuum. Ripped the mic jack right off but still work for sound. Just wounderin.

A BT headset for your PC?
If you insist on a wireless headset, DON'T get BT. BT sucks. BT was designed by Erickson for cell phones, and it BARELY works properly for that. It's a terrible spec.
If you like big large muffs like me, and don't mind hardwired, this is what I'd recommend. I have three of these. One each for my two gaming PCs and a spare. I've also given these away as Xmas gifts to gamer friends who have loved them:

The price is amazingly low considering the quality. Even lower now. I paid $30+ for mine from Newegg.
They are pretty rugged (I abuse mine pretty badly - I drop them on the floor all the time). Very comfortable and large, they surround your ears. I have big ears and I get a headache if a headset presses against my ears. Sound quality is great for gaming (I don't listen to music on these things, so can't tell you). They are a closed design so they block out room noise (unfortunately, it's getting hard to find closed design headsets and as you can see in the photo below, I have an AC wall unit right next to me in my computer room). The padding on top makes them very comfortable. I have a BIG head and they fit me very well. About the only negative is they make you look like a helicopter pilot because they're so big, but I like that. I'm a former sound engineer and I've always preferred big muff headphones.
For that price, do yourself a favor and buy two, so you have a replacement.
They're out of stock at NewEgg, but there's 344 reviews:

I bought these 6 months ago and they are awesome. They are made to work with a phone to make/receive calls and then for listening to music. they wouldn't not be good for gaming I don't think. I don't believe any bt headset would be. They actually change codecs for voice and music. Voice uses a much lower quality 2 way codec (talking and listening), whereas decent music uses a 1 way codec. I can't actually tell a difference with music wired vs Bluetooth on these. There is a about a half second delay when listening to music, so like I said for gaming they wouldn't be good. That and I don't think they would change codecs for voice when you wanted to talk.

I too have 2 pairs of them. They make them in both open and closed. I have one of each. The open ones I use on the road so I can hear people talking to me at airports and what nots, the other set is closed and I use them at home. The mic is great on them as it hides up out of the way in the head band. So when I am out and about I don't look like as much a nerd with a microphone in my face. They sound great and are, as stated, very comfortable. I too only like big over ear type cans. and most "over ear" headsets aren't big enough to go over my ears. And It fits my big fat head.
I have a big head. Went shopping one time for a snowmobile helmet to wear while out on my sand rail in the winter and I think i tried on a 3x and it still would not go on my head.
