LoL.. That's pretty messed up.. I bought a PSU from Newegg about a year ago that I could plug in, and the LED would light up, but no power to the board. Not really sure what is wrong with it, came that way out of the box. And I was just too lazy to send it back for a replacement. I looked it up at one time and it was a common problem. Next time I'm at my Dad's I'm going to dig it out and have him take a look at it and see if he can figure out what's wrong and fix it. lol

I've seen similar cases in car audio. Amplifiers with bottom plates that are 1/8" thick steel to emulate heavy components. Head units that are only wired mono on the inside despite stereo outputs.

pretty amazing...the amount of effort they went through to fake that.
