Flushing my DNS

Post by RubberDuckie »

Why is it that I have to flush my DNS on my computer about every other day? I suspect it is that damn facebook page (I do not play any of the games like farmville).

I get redirected to google, or get the mobile version of pages. If I go into CMD as administrator and c :> ipconfig /flushdns then I am back in business. I figure this is spyware but I have run all the proper scans and can not find anything. This happens to me on to of my home computers but not allways at the same time.

Gets old even if I can get around the issue. Any ideas? :d oom

Now that I think about it... the only two suspicious locations I visit are facebook and Liveleak

not sure, but to rule things out such as your ISP's DNS being the issue, switch to OpenDNS for a bit and see if that helps.
