LG releasing dual core Android phone next month.
how long till your cell replaces the netbook ?
maybe even your laptop .
it's just a matter of time like 2-5 years and you just need a cell phone and every 2 years get a new replacement like you do with your cell phones we have today .

Yeah I can't believe how fast phone technology is moving. If you buy a new phone, 3 months later its obsolete.

cell phones are sadly lacking in the screen size dept. i doubt they will ever replace the pc.

Yeah, maybe OK for younger people with perfect vision but at my age, there's no way I want to deal with those tiny screens. Even with my glasses, it's not good compared to a larger screen.
That's one of the reasons why I want an Ipad (next gen. coming out in a few months). I have a few Touches but I usually only use them for music, sometimes check my e-mail when at work but never use them to browse the net, just too small of a screen.
Although the newer phones are cool, I can't justify the $80-$100 per month fees nor would I use them for much besides being a phone due to their tiny screen sizes.

Agreed I have an Droid 1 phone now and love it but I can't get too much done on it compared to my puter. I will get a honeycomb based android 7-10" tablet though. Can't give into the Apple, they spoon feed the updates methodically and I like the fast growing Android community. Long live the Droid.

Screen size doesn't get me near as much as user interface. I can't live without a keyboard.

I'm waiting for a cell phone I can drop in a docking station connected to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse with full UI being touch screen or displayed on monitor. That would be nice. Then you have your phone, and computer with you at all times.

Ditto that, I'm also betting it's not as far off as you'd think.

I'm looking long and hard at the Sprint HTC Evo 4G. It has a gorgeous screen.
