As a more direct comparison, it would take 14 minutes to transfer 25GB of data over USB 2.0, but just four minutes with USB SuperSpeed.
Nice

It'll be nice in 5 years when most computers have it standard. As of now, everything I do at home is ESATA which rocks. If I go to a customer's house where I actually need USB frequently, I just hope for USB 2.0. Using USB 1.1 really makes you appreciate 2.0.

USB 1.1 makes you want to gouge your eyes out. In situations like that, it's hard drive plucking time for me.

Of course, then we have Lightpeak, Intel's competing 'standard'. I'm curious to see how that pans out too. But for now, USB <3

Yeah, fortunately, most of the files I transfer via USB are under 100mb, so it's at least manageable via USB 1.1.
