Trying to go back to factory install? If the Control +F11 don't work, then it sounds like the image on the hidden partition is toast.

Yeah, sounds like the recovery partition was deleted or messed up. You'll need a Dell OEM Windows install CD.
Dell will send you one for free if it's under warranty or mailing cost if it's not.
What version of Windows? I have most of them. They're also available on torrents. Nothing illegal about downloading them if the PC has a legit COA.

Yeah, there are plenty of torrent versions:

Try to download one with a skull & crossbones if you can though. Those are considered trustworthy uploaders (less likely to have a virus embedded).

Nice thing about the Dell XP discs is that they don't come with the crap.

Dear Michael,
Thanks for all the help with the computer. I have put around 50 of my favorite websites back in place already. I was going to delete some old ones so this did it for me fast.
I did find the Microsoft software under "all programs".
I have some questions on some software that I need to download on Saturday to get to some websites information though such as Adobe Flash Player and Adobe to get .pdf files plus there is something on
http://www.statechamps.tv that I need to download as well or will Adobe Flash Player work on that website as well? This way you can tell what I need to do when you get here on Saturday. A youtube link on
http://www.powerlineblog.com didn't want to work for me as well.
( can someone say shoot me or hang me ) it's not worth the BS - also the cheap price was its a woman my wife works with.
