hp web cam greef
wife has a hp web cam . i spent about 1 hour maybe 1 1/2 hours on the phone with there tech support. guess what problems not fix and they let me off the phone call and said i would get a call back from them in like 15-20 mins guess what been a couple of hours now and no reply. you think for the wholesale cost of the unit has to be around $10 i think they just say give us your address and we will just send you a new replacement unit and call it a day .web cams cant cost them all that much in the bulk they make /buy them in . i personally think the built in mic just died in it. the camera still works .
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me.

I've actually had a few customers lately who's microphones have went out (they weren't integrated into a camera though). Not sure if it was the cable or what, but sure enough, swapping the mic out made all the difference. I'm guessing you don't have a spare mic to verify that it's actually bad do you? Or is it USB based (& thus untestable).
