of course, if it's Mac memory, then it's ok.

I not only suspected as much, but knew as much. With PC100/133, I rarely if ever had memory problems with computers. With DDR, I started to see occasional ones. Now, with DDR2 & 3, it seems that is one of the first things I suspect when there are random crashes. Sadly, it usually is the case. I even go through the trouble of getting higher end well reviewed stuff for my own personal computer & still have issues.

That's why the industry should have stuck with RDRam, otherwise known as Rambus. (shortb)
Really though, I am currently running 2GB of RDRam on my personal desktop.

You have any idea how much that RDRam is worth? You can't buy that stuff for ANY price right now. It's like gold. Breaks my heart when a client with a perfectly good early P4 system asks me if I can upgrade his memory and I have to tell him it's hopeless.

Yeah, sticks over 256mb are near impossible to find & if you do, they are more than DDR3. RDRAM fought a losing battle from the beginning. Even when it was still being produced, it was double the price of DDR.
