Creative Modem Blaster Modem, Dug it back out today

I dug out my old Creative Modem Blaster Modem V92 and trying to get it working better.
I am having a terrible time with ISP connections with my internal modem.

Ok, the internal Diamond Supra got 37K connections on my lines to WP ISP in the old computer. In the new computer and most revently it got worse, WP ISP connects at about 14.4 mos the time if it connects at all, I get allot of remote system not responding errors. A few time I have got a 36K conntection but rarely.

Sock ISP I get a 28.8K conection almost everytime, sometimes a 26.6K or so.

Tonight I got the Creative external serial connected.
WP ISP I connect but only 19.2K so far.
Sock ISP I connect but about 21K, the lowest I ever got there, also I got a few no connection errors I never got before.

I sure some settings I can change should make the serial do a bit better, it was much better years ago used on W2K.

As for the Internal modem, seems most my problems started when I moved it from the older system to the newer, that was also from W2K to XP. Any suggestions to fix it?

28.8K is killing me here! Not that 37K was great but it certainly was far better! I need it back or more!
