I just picked up my sister in-laws HP desk top today .its having problems starting up .
i open up the case and I'm sure she fried the power supply .there is enough dust in the case that I'm sure. if i were to put it on a scale i find it weighs twice what it did coming right from the factory new. tomorrow i try and take some pictures of the inside of this unit .
i took off the CPU fan shroud and she clean it . it was 80 -90 pecent clogged solid with dust bunnys and im going to use my air compresser to blow the rest out of the case,CPU heat sink ,and fans .not something i do normally but i go though a 1/2 case of compressed air other wise .also the power supply seems to be total clogged just on what i seen when the case lid was removed this afternoon ,
