LG imbedding adware inside firmware of DVD-RW drive

Basically when you boot up after installing the drive, in creates a virtual CD that installs an adware app. This is so evil, I have no words for it. Just read the reviews. I wonder what the return rate is on this drive?

looks like 90% some say newegg didnt even want the drives back. they let the customers keep them.

BTW: LG makes some darn good drives so I hope they don't make a habit of this. Hopefully they'll get a lot of flack about it and think twice in the future.

I order a lot of LG drives. They've replaced Lite-on as the best bang-for-the-buck.

I wonder how long before there is some kind of class action lawsuit... Seriously though, what were these people thinking? They make wonderful products and they go and do something like this?
