Anyone using a Web Cam? I'm interested in getting one so we can remain in contact with my son who will be going to Iraq again. What should I be looking for in a web cam? I'm planning on using Skype with the web cam.

I've got the older version of this - I like it because it has its own stand - the autofollow is decent - and you don't have to fool around hanging it on the monitor, etc.

Thanks Darcy. I saw one review that said he had problems with his MS cam working with skype. Note the review was on NewEgg's site, so it might be questionable, so let me know how you like yours and how it works with skype.

VWJohn - that thing looks like anything but a cam LOL. The ones I've always seen mount on your monitor. Thanks for the info.

we use a microsoft 3000 web cam and a mircosoft 5000 web cam for Skype
and we love them wife uses the 5000 model .no complants at all with them and they both have auto light adjustment . i like microsoft hardware. and there warrienty is great .

i read some similar reviews, Exec, but decided to order it anyway based on good experiences from peeps here that use it w/skype.

maybe i will have to have a test run w/reno!
