I would never have thought to see the day... not that this REALLY impresses me much though.

But the concept does impress some older folks that I know.

**Edit**
Just wanted to share some info in case others hadnt seen this yet. I for one have seen this before.

even if it did work, u know how much power u would lose in conversion alone, and what would be lost to static....hmmm

and exactly how would they get a tesla coil that small?
my guess is that it wouldnt even be able to light up a small nightlight even if it wasnt fake

It seems that it uses microwaves. I remember in the mid 80's (when i was a kid) seeing a small remote helicopter that would hover 30' in the air and had a base unit that beamed it power to stay aloft. I don't remember if it was supposed to be a camera platform or what.

It's a GAG. Yes you can beam power via microwaves, but the loss is horrendous. The best experiments performed was something like a 95% loss even at short distances.

C'mon. These things cost $35 and you think it's real?

Damn, I could REALLY use a device like that too. Extension cords are way too primitive.

years ago at a place i worked...there was a higher up exec that demanded to have his cell phone charge via bluetooth. lol

"don't tell me it can't be done. i don't care how hard it is for you to set it up"

if i had the knowledge to do that...well...i wouldn't be working any more, that's for sure! $$$$$
