USB to NAS

Post by RubberDuckie »

This is a simple device that allows any USB device to be shared on the network as a NAS or share any USB printer for $55.

Great device to take that large external USB HDD and place it on the network. What do you think?

Sometimes it's the simple things that are so awsome.

that's cool, but does it supply power to the USB device? reason I ask is because I've been looking for something like this, but it would require two plugs, one for the device one for the enclosure.

It says it will power smaller laptop drives from the USB. I doubt it will power anything bigger.

If someone gets this post a review. I am interested but I am too conservative to be the first. :)

Yeah, I'd assume that it could only power the standard USB power output (which is really barely able to do laptop drives). Plan on having a power strip next to it.
