Heres my setup, and what I want to do.

XBox360 wired to laptop. Laptop has ICS enabled to share wireless internet. My desktop is in another room and I want to share pictures and music to my Xbox. Because I'm using ICS on the laptop its in a different network so the only thing that is visible to the Xbox is the content on my laptop. Is there any way to connect the 2 networks to make media on my desktop visible to the xbox? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Why can't you get a Wifi adapter for the 360 and get it on the same network?

Getting a Wifi adapter for the 360 would really be the easy solution... The 360 is really inept when it comes to finding media on a network. The best way I can think of, would be to create network drives for the media you want to share on your desktop on your laptop and then proceeding to share them for the 360.

AFAIK, the 360 wireless adapter does not support WPA2, which is why i didn't consider it for my own use. i just use a USB hard drive if/when i want to get info onto the 360.

what about using tversity to stream the data or use the 360 with a wifi adapter and use it as a media extender but then you are limited to windoze format only....

Forgot to mention, you can also use a wireless bridge as well. I do find that it is messed up that it has no WPA2 support, without good reason I might add.

The main reason I dont get the adapter is I don't want to spend $100 if I don't have to. I've attempted using winXP's connection bridge but I cant get it to work right. Maybe I'm not doing it properly? Any insight?

Figured it out. Turns out the wireless adapter was not compatible with network bridging. So I put it in compatibility mode and now it works. I can share media exactly how I wanted now.
