Antec P180B Case

Post by Executioner »

I bought this case from Fry's yesterday, and I can't believe how difficult it is to install my new Thermaltake 750w power supply with modal cables. There must be only one inch or less before the cables touch the large 120mm fan. Looks like I have to do a case mod to fix this. I guess they never expected people to use large power supplies.

Here is a pic of the power supply location. The power supply sits on the bottom and has 2 separate chambers:

can the fan be used without the plastic shroud and just a fan grill? that may buy you another inch or so. Perhaps remove that fan altogether, the missing fan would be redundant anyway, and both it and the hard drive cage housing would impede airflow from the real intake from the front of the case anyways right?

Here is a review of the case with additional pictures.

I'm going to have to take a closer look and see if that can be done.
