I received the new caps in the mail and got them installed. Motherboard is up and running. At first, I got nothing when I powered it up with only the video card installed. I almost gave up until I checked the DC voltages from the new caps and noticed they were all working. I pulled the cpu that my brother gave me and put one of mine in I had as a spare. It booted up with the bios screen. Looking at the defective cpu, it had a missing pin. Don't know if my bro was trying to screw me up on purpose or not.

That's great. Nice soldering. Do you have a decent soldering iron. I've never got around to buying a good one even though I have a fortune sunk into car tools.

It's a Weller unit that I snagged from work since they have so many. I also grabbed some new fine tip points to go with it. The stand has a digital display for the temperature. Since I did not want to leave the iron on the mobo for a long time, I used maximum heat and it only took a few seconds to re-solder the new caps. I also used a solder sucker that I got over 20 years ago from a previous place I worked at were I did some soldering also. It's a hand held type and I was surprised at the job it did in removing the old solder from the holes.
