To SLI or not?

I have an XFX 7900GT and the A8N32 SLI Deluxe Mobo. How much better would it be if I doubled up the XFX 7900GT. I play some games and once in a blue moon flight sim. Also computer will be doing some graphic illustration. (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, quark, etc.) Anyone think this would be worth the extra $$?

Unless you're a hardcore gamer, SLI is worthless to you. It will have no effect on the graphic apps you listed.

Having SLI for that would be pointless, you would be better off dropping the money into a faster cpu or more ram, perhaps more hard drive space if you felt you needed it.

Currently I have 4200+ AMD Dual, and Corsair 2GB of the XMS 3500LL Pro

Not sure how much bang for the buck it would be to go further.

Hi..

I have dual Nvidia 6800 XT's with the SLI configuration....First of all there a pain in the butt to setup..BUT, they do increase your frame rates in games and will certainly help you if you're using graphical software.. I highly recommend it....then you can easily overclock BOTH the cards within the NVidia control panel...Just remember that the GPU's (graphics processing units) can get hot after overclocking so you might want to invest in a GPU cooler for at least one if not both your cards. They are fairly cheap...
