My 31 inch tuber died and I just couldn't pass up this deal. $1349.00 at Sam's Club. Great picture. Now I need to upgrade my SAT receiver to HDTV.

Stand for right now. Dang brackets are around 200 bucks.

I didn't see that big of a differnce in the picture to make me wanna pay 1000 more dollars.

Yeah, that's understandable. There are no plasmas out there that can do true high-def yet anyway (1920x1080), and the supposedly high-def ones cost $2500 or more. I just recently got a 42" Sony 3-LCD Projection HDTV (1280x720 res) and I think it looks fantastic, minus the usual inadequacies of LCD technology. It cost pretty much about the same as your plasma, $1380.
