Slap me now..
Heres what not to do..
Get irritated with a noisy (bottom ) power supply fan.. Open the case and jab a pen up into it
and promptly forget about what you've done. Oh and also go ahead and figure the other one that
blows out the back will never fail before getting a replacement for the one with a pen in it.
Opps!
Yeah it failed.. Went to pug in somthing in the back and pretty much got burnt leaning my
forarm on the casetop. Had to be at least 140.
Shut it down and pushed a probe in there thru the fan grill. I'm sure I contacted the HS but
still thats hot. (The pic might show 250 but it did get up to 278 - burry pic though)
Luckily it didn't take out the HD.. It sits right above it and and as hot as the top of the case
was, it had to be hotter yet..
I was gone all day and don't know how long it was this way. The comp never even hiccuped
and my only clues was the very hot top.
Could have been worse..
Like I said, slap me now.
