Why deos firewall show outgoing alert for disk manager?

Post by canton_kid »

'Logical Disk Manager service process' from your computer wants to connect to 192.168.1.100, port 135

Program
c:\winnt\system32\dmadmin.exe

This does not seem normal to me, why would disk manager want to connect anywhere? Is it a virus, spyware, trojans, MS call home garbage?

This is only Wk2, no recenet updates, and I don't remeber it doing that before though I seldom use it.

I deny it and everything works fine, so now how would I get rid of it if needed.

I put this under hardware since it kinda relates to drives I am changing and installing.

It's remote Disk Administration. Just keep blocking it.
