I'm sure there are 1 TB drives on the horizon..can't wait :)

I remember skimming over that article in wal-mart while waiting or someone. I hadn't realized that it was that close to being comercially viable. Just immagine the effect this could have in servers, could reasonably end up having 4tb arrays, consisting of a small handfull of drives!

On the other hand, just one good head crash, and immagine the amount of data that could be lost, instead of a couple bad blocks, you could lose quite a bit. (here I am talking as if I actually know what I'm talking about...hehe)

Well, the big thing is that with drives of that size it will be easier to run a mirrored array and still have a lot of storage in the array.
