Really liking this very inexpensive surround sound.

Post by Koo Koo Mouse »

Logitech x-350 5.1's and a cheap SB live 24.. The sound aint bad at all for an apartment dweller like me
that cant crank it up.. (although I want to)
The SB sofware was the pain to get in but I won't go into that. Had to have it for forcing the rears up for simulated suround for music which works suprisingly well! Really love some of the enviromental affects when sitting in the zone. Even at the table you see in the pic you feel the surround. well... at least stereo outside the zone. Much better than my simple labtechs.
Haven't gotten to play around with games much, as my hours at work have been crazy. Don't even know if I have a game that supports 5.1. so far..

But anyway All done for less than $160 including tracking. Menards visit and some thinking..LOL!

I have a pic and as you can see I aint painted out here yet.. Ignore my smokey walls. :)
Cheers! thought Id share for Shts & Grns..

not bad

My last apartment had a "bar" looking area between the living room and the kitchen. Just enough room for my desk with the barish thing behind me. I had my rear speakers mounted upsidedown under that. Cheaper speakers then yours. But was nice

Looks nice. I have a set of Klipsch 4.1's and I'm only using 2 of the speakers. I need to fix up something like that.

I have my rear PC speakers hanging by small chains in my PC room. They're close to ear level so it works great for gaming and music listening. You wouldn't want to do that in an area with high traffic or people would bump them often.
