I'm about to buy some headphones for use with my SB live Gamer and was wondering if anyone uses Headphones , if so what make and brand and what preferences choose them i:e comfort , sound ,quality ,price ,closed/open to name a few .let me know your thoughts on the subject if any

I've recently started using headphones when playing Team Arena online so the noise doesn't bother the wife. The headphones are JVC model HA-D50. They were cheap when I picked them up at Sam's Whse.

I just started using headphones late night cause my neighbours complained about my Klipsch late night usage.

I'm very happy with my new Sennheiser HD450 (<a href="http://www.sennheiser.com/headphones/dy ... tm">lookie here</a>). They're a lil expensive (I found them for $100 shipped) but their sound is really good, they're open so your ears won't heat up and they're light.

I used them for 8 hours plus with no probs. They even match my new Lian-Li PC 60 case
The low impedance is good for use directly with soundcard, high impedance headphones require headphone amps.
There's even a hack so you can run a cable to the front of your case, very convinient, just <a href="http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php ... 5565">read this</a>.

Mine runs to a mod'ed 5.25" faceplate and I used a 1/8 connector near my soundcard to make it removable, there're also 2 USB in my faceplate and the relocated fanbus.

Late at night, I use headphones. But I wear glasses, so long gaming sessions hurt after a while, even with good fitting phones.

I have to agree with MK888 about the glasses ... darn, I really hate that ... but I don't like contacts and laser eye surgery is way to expensive for me.

At night when I play I use my Game Voice headphones that are made by Plantronics.

I use headphones late at night, but I think that mod project is a little much. All I did was go to Radio Shack and buy a stereo 1/8" Y cable (1 male to 2 female). I have a 4 speaker surrond sound, so all I did was connect the splitter to the LIVE! on the front speaker siganl output, then connect the headphones on one output of the splitter and then the front speakers on the other. Then when I need to use one or the other, I just go into the Creative mixer and either select Headphones or 4 Speakers.

The headphones I have are made by Koss. The only reason I got them is because they came already equipped with a headset mic. They sound OK.

I only use headphones. If i'm on for 10min or 10 hours it feels the same.

I found them for either $69 or $89 refurbished about 18 months ago.

Best money I've spent in a while, extremely clear sounds with a good amount of UNF behind them. Great for music and games.

I to wear glasses when using the computer (stupid eyes). I never had a problem with discomfort. Maybe because I had a ton of hair and very thin frames.

I love my sonys and they were only $20. They are the full size to.

I also use the Sonys that rezillo does. Only while I'm at LAN Parties though.

after searching high and low for some good cheap ones to start with , i had my eye on a few Sennheisers such as the HD570($99),HD545($99) and also the SonyMDR-V6($70) but after reading about these at HeadPhone for the price i just paid i thought it was worth the gamble here is the feedback from Headphones on these Koss R100

yea cant go wrong with Sennheiser. the make so Good stuff. enjoy them.

I always use phones for games - especially CS. I play more competatively that way (CS is ALL about LISTENING for audio cues).

I use speakers for playing MP3's and watching videos.

Be kind to your ears. You'd spend $100 on a quality speaker system, so do the same for headphones.

Sony Digital Reference Studio headphones: about $100 depending on where you look. I know Best Buy carries them.

Outstanding sound quality and very comfortable.
