LCD question

Post by swinada »

I'm in the market for a LCD 19" screen. Like some tips on what to buy or what not.
A few points I would like clarification on.
-Contrast 1000:1 is better then 450:1
-Brightness 500 cd/m is better then 250 cd/m
-Responsetime 12 ms is better then 25 ms
did I get this right? Which ones are really importent which arent. I'm not a gamer (besides Myst and similar) mostly use the computer for Word, Excel spreadsheets and web and e-mail applications.
Thanks :)
here a couple I was looking at

I can't answer all your questions. But I do know the lower the ms the better. 12 is better and faster than 25. The rest I'm not sure about but I've read the main thing is the ms speed.

Any you are considering I'd search google for reviews/comments about them. ;)
