The keyboard driver is part of Windows. At worst Windows would ask you for the Windows CD.

Sounds like some core files got deleted - maybe they were infected?

Two choices:

1) Use System Restore to go back to a restore point AT LEAST ONE WEEK before the problem occured.

2) Perform a repair install of Windows: http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Hope this helps...

Umm... well you didn't mention that. A keylogger is a trojan. Norton did what it was supposed to do - removed a virus. You probably have Norton configured to automatically clean and quarantine or clean and delete.

I don't know why you're using a keylogger, but I'd be very careful. Any free keylogger you download is just as likely to be sending what it's logging to someone else. No guarantees.

Just a shot in the dark but would running "system file check" replace the missing or corrupt files? Think it would be worth a try. Assuming you are running Win XP go to the run command and type in " sfc /scannow" without the "s and make sure you have a space between the sfc and the /
