I have an A8N-E and I can highly recommend it. Nice stable board that's not fussy about memory.

it looks very similair to the deluxe excpet minus the second 16x PCI e slot. also, there seems to be an a8ne and an a8ne FM model

asus are nice stable boards, do not buy one if you are looking to overclock though as most are poor performers at that.

Pentium makes me cry... You really should stick with the direction you were going with in the first place... But that's just my .02

From what I undersatnd, Pentiums are far more stable and the Athlon only gives marginal increases in performance in gaming.

I think Pentium being "far more stable" is a matter of opinion.. ;) I have a Dual XP 1700+ that ran for over a year without being rebooted or crashing. :)

AMD/Intel debate is the same as the Ford/Chevy debate is down here in the south. everyone is loyal to their personal bias, and their favorite stock car driver.

i think AMD's are great. i have had some running for years and have never had one "up and die on me" Personally, i think Intel spent more of their time and money on marketing than on product development and people have to pay more for them because of it. AMD is much more friendly to the DIY system builders and enthusiasts.

I just traded an ASUS P5AD2 premium. Awesome board. Stay away from ABIT Intel mobo's, DFI makes a nice Intel board as well. What cpu did you acquire on the Intel platform?
