My mobo supports sata, is there anyway I can connect my ide drives to the sata connectors with an adapter? Not a pci adapter preferably.

Been searching but just getting more cornfused. And does it give you sata speed. If available anyway.

Any links would be appreciated.

thanks :)

I found this

But it isn't something I would recoment.

No, it wont get the SATA speed, the drive is slower.

Doesn't the MB have IDE?

Best would be to just use the onboard IDE until you get SATA drives.

Thanks :)

The mobo does have ide, but thought of adding 1-2 more hd's I have here. Just mainly for kicks a giggles. Have most in external enclosures now. But have a few extra I'd like to hook up also. And to test any diff.
