Picked up a 700M for my wife a while back back keyboard was way too small and back to Mumbai it went (even tho they kept offering me $24 to buy a keyboard :) )(that will take care of the problem, yes?)

she says she wants a full size or close to it keyboard that "feels like a keyboard"

never been around lappies that much and don't type much on the hp and dell I have - mostly used for surfing

I've looked around it seems like the pick of the litter is IBM thinkpads - at least keyboard wise - don't want to spend a whole lot here - basically this will be for word processing and surfing and maybe dvd viewing but want something with built in wireless, etc

TIA

My ABS Mayhems keyboard is FS or at least close, far better than my old Toshiba. I'd have many typos with my old one due to crampt fingers.
Go to Bestbuy or Circuit City and look at what they've got. Larger keyboards mean widescreen and larger screens so your price goes up too.

Only laptop I've EVER seen with what comes VERY close to a full size keyboard is an old P-266 Metrobook laptop. This thing was WAY ahead of it's time - it had FIREWIRE, USB, and a gorgeous 15" screen (I still have it and am considering converting it into a digital picture frame).

Some of the newer widescreen lappies come close.

If you just care about bigger keys (I have big fingers and most laptop keys are too damn small) the Dell Inspiron 6000 has some nice big keys on it. It's the same keyboard as my Dell 5150 and I love that keyboard.

IBM has/uses a full size keyboard. At least for the keys. As usualy some of them double up as something else.

I also think that the 17'' widescreen lappys come whit bigger keyboards, for example the toshiba... of couse nothing to compare with a real keyboard. u can always get a dock station and plug in any keyboard too! :)
