the new ultra thing plastic coatings that go on the bottom of disks. I have seen them before, but I dont know what they are called, or where to get them. I have a few disks I could really use this on.
Thanks in advance.

Wow! Never heard of CD Skins before. Do they work? Is it a very thin plastic layer that is permanently attached to the burned surface?

there was one type that was a plastic sticker that some place would apply after they ground down the disc surface(later replaced by DR.cd/dvd repair device). Now with d-skin it has a ridge that snaps on like the lid of a pringles can and after it takes a few scratches it snaps off and a new one can be applied, would be great investment for blockbuster and netflix type stores.

not sure if it is permanent or not, but yea, it just protects the readable area. I have some disks that I cant burn that I have use a few items a day, and I keep Very good care of them, but they still have minor scratches on them and the like. So this is the best thing I can think of for those.
Thanks for the info, I will look for them at best buy then.

finally picked some up today. they are Great. Just make sure your disks are very clean before you put these on, because if something gets between the disk and the shield things could Suck.
But so far, I am Very happy with them.

I had thought about buying those but realised I would have to buy them for everyone but myself. Guess I dont have enough people borrowing my movies to need them.
